In May 2005 the Minister of Culture Youth and Recreation (CYR) reappointed the Minister's Advisory Committee on Status of the Artist (MACSA) to provide advice for the development of Status of the Artist measures. Specific topics that MACSA was required to address incluced: collective bargaining rights for artists, the role and mandate of a permanent advisory committee, and an inventory of training opportunities for artists. In addition, the committee was directed to identify and address further issues and priorities related to Status of the Artist.

En mai 2005, la ministre de la Culture, de la Jeunesse et des Loisirs (CYR) de la Saskatchewan a reconduit le mandat du Comité consultatif du ministre sur le statut de l'artiste (MACSA), qui consistait à agir en tant que conseiller pour l'élaboration de mesures relatives au statut de l'artiste. Le MACSA devait se pencher, entre autres sujets, sur le droit des artistes à la négociation collective, sur le rôle et le mandat d'un éventuel comité consultatif permanent, ainsi que sur les possibilités de formation pour les artistes. De plus, le Comité a été chargé de cerner et d'aborder d'autres questions et priorités touchant le statut de l'artiste.
