In addition to the changes in structure and managerial practices introduced in October 1985, the Department of Transport is currently instituting further improvements within the Transport Canada organization to increase the efficiency of airport operations. It is with these changes in mind that this second option is called "Modified Transport Canada". It is the plan to improve the operation and efficiency of the existing organization.
