Until 1981, when it was struck by lighting, a Moll-Gorczynski type pyranometer (manufactured by Kipp & Zonen Co., Delft, Holland) was used at Galeta.

OBS

Le pyranomètre le plus utilisé en Europe et en Afrique est du type Moll-Gorczynski, fabriqué par Kipp (Delft, Hollande). La thermopile Moll est montée dans un support en fonte, protégée par des coupelles de 26 et 46 mm de diamètre et de 2 mm d'épaisseur. L'assèchement de l'enceinte comprise entre la surface réceptrice et la petite coupelle est assuré par du silicagel contenu dans un récipient annexe communiquant par un tube avec l'intérieur de l'enceinte. Le corps de l'appareil est protégé du rayonnement solaire direct par un plateau blanc entourant les coupelles.
