Les Lémurs mongoz ou Makis mongoz (Lemur mongoz) sont très difficiles à caractériser, car la teinte de leur manteau est très variable. Leur fourrure est très épaisse, et leur queue touffue ressemble un peu à celle du Renard. Ils sont très nombreux dans la partie septentrionale de Madagascar et dans les Comores.
