De-interlacing [through] line doublers and comb filters whose processing strategy or formula varies, where coincidentally the optimum processing depends on whether the subject matter depicted was stationary/steady or moving/changing.

OBS

The best devices may vary their processing dozens of times within a single scan line. The device must digitize several video fields, save (buffer) them on a rolling basis, and compare the content in small groups of pixels to determine whether subject matter was moving or not.

Un désentrelacement adaptatif est un algorithme plus avancé qui recherche une séquence d'images pour déterminer si une zone est immobile ou en mouvement. Lorsque les pixels sont immobiles, les trames sont simplement combinées, sans fondu. S'ils sont en mouvement, les trames sont fondues ensemble. Cette technique produit les meilleurs résultats visuels, mais est lourde à calculer.
