The National Center for Excellence in Metalworking Technology (NCEMT) was established in January 1988 as part of the Navy Manufacturing Technology Program to address Navy/DOD metalworking technology needs. NCEMT serves as a nationalresource for the development and dissemination of advanced metalworking technology and processes to improve the defense industrial base.
