The National Environmental Management Office (NEMO) is the (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) CFIA's centre of knowledge for planning and guiding the implementation of environmental management initiatives. Created in 2003, NEMO's mandate is to ensure that the Agency's operations and activities are conducted in an environmentally sustainable manner and meet federal environmental laws and policies.
