A stop word list (also sometimes called a noise word list or negative dictionary) is a list of words which are so frequent and/or content-free that the search engine ignores them. In English, "the" and "a" are often stop words. AIAT allows, but does not require, the use of a stop list. Indexes constructed with a stop list will be slightly smaller than those without. Apple e.g. is an example of a AIAT application that uses a stop list. 3, record 2, English, - stop%20word%20list
