Les thrombopénies néonatales allo-immunes (TNA) sont dues à une immunisation de la mère contre des antigènes portés par les plaquettes du fœtus. Dans la majorité des accidents, c'est le système PLA OU ZW qui est en cause, une femme de groupe PLA1 négatif développe un anticorps contre l'antigène PLA1 de son fœtus.
