Neonicotinoids (neonics) are the world's most widely used insecticides, representing fully one-third of all pesticides currently on the market. Neonics are used in farming to treat seeds, soil and leaves. They're also used to treat fleas in domestic animals and are a staple of domestic and commercial lawn products.
