New Careers Corporation works with participants, employers, and communities to help ensure people on social assistance gain access to training and employment opportunities and to help reduce social assistance caseloads. New Careers Corporation provides people receiving social assistance with the opportunityto increase their independence through a range of programs and services that prepare them for employment and help them find meaningful jobs. These services include career and vocational planning, job search training, labour market information, employment referrals, education and skill development, as well as on-the-job training and employment opportunities.
