La table rectangulaire est employée dans le même genre de réunions que la table ovale. Elle peut entraîner plus de confrontations.

OBS

Par définition, le terme anglais "rectangle" désigne une figure de 4 angles droits (cf. WEBIN, 1976 et WEBAB, 1984). Le terme "rectangular table" engloberait donc la table carrée (à 4 côtés égaux) et la table rectangulaire (plus longue que large). L'adjectif français "oblong" signifie plus long que large, mais pas nécessairement rectangulaire.
