The occupational doses ... fall into two broad categories. Dose to workers at a trench facility is estimated to be significantly lower than the doses from the other four technologies analyzed. Occupational doses at belowground vaults, aboveground vaults, modular concrete canisters, and earth mounded concrete bunker facilities are all similar, but higher than those for trenches, because of the necessity of constructing more elaborate disposal facilities.

... "occupational dose" shall not be deemed to include any exposure of an individual to radiation for the purpose of medical diagnosis or medical therapy of such individual.
