The Office of Workplace Health and Human Resources Modernization (WHAHRM) is responsible for the overall management and administration of the departmental WHAHRM Initiative. This includes the: Development of an integrated departmental action plan to enhance workplace health and modernize human resources management, and Design and delivery of a long-term strategy to support its implementation. A key role for the Office is the monitoring and evaluation of the activities undertaken to implement the WHAHRM Action Plan as part of the performance measurement framework for the WHAHRM Initiative. In addition, the Office of WHAHRM: Plans, coordinates and facilitates implementation of all Human Resource Modernization Initiatives including Public Service Modernization Act (PSMA) implementation, Plays a key role in communications planning for the Human Resources Services Directorate (HRSD), and Coordinates all special projects relating to HRSD.

Le Bureau de la santé en milieu de travail et modernisation des ressources humaines est responsable, dans l'ensemble, de la gestion et de l'administration de l'initiative ministérielle de la SMTMRH. Ceci comprend : L'élaboration d'un plan d'action ministériel intégré visant à accroître la santé en milieu de travail et à moderniser la gestion des ressources humaines, y compris la conception et le lancement d'une stratégie à long terme en vue de sa mise en œuvre. Le Bureau joue un rôle clé en ce qui concerne le suivi et l'évaluation d'activités entreprises en vue de mettre en œuvre le Plan d'action de la SMTMRH en application du cadre de mesure du rendement pour l'initiative de la SMTMRH. De plus, le Bureau de la SMTMRH : planifie, coordonne et assure la mise en œuvre de toutes les initiatives de modernisation des ressources humaines incluant la mise en œuvre de la Loi sur la modernisation de la fonction publique (LEFP), joue un rôle clé quant à la planification des communications pour la Direction des services en ressources humaines (DSRH) et coordonne tous les projets spéciaux relatifs à la DSRH.
