Traumatisme crânien ouvert. Dans ce type de blessure, il y a pénétration du crâne. Le tissu cérébral est alors exposé à l'environnement extérieur entraînant au départ un risque d'infection et de graves pertes sanguines. Les dommages cérébraux associés sont en général de nature focale et par conséquent il est plus facile de prévoir et d'identifier les déficits qui en résultent.
