Oslo points are often used in Norway and Sweden at the tips of H and other metal piles bearing on rock that may be sloped (...). The points are tempered steel bars 3 or 4 in. in diameter, projecting several inches below the foot of the H.

En Norvège et en Suède, on utilise souvent une technique particulière, dite «pointes d'Oslo», pour les pieux métalliques en général et pour les pieux H qui doivent être mis en place dans un rocher en pente (...). Ces pieux sont prolongés en bas par des barres d'acier trempé de 7,5 à 10 cm de diamètre et de plusieurs centimètres de longueur.
