The mandate of the Ottawa Youth Cabinet shall be to represent all youth in the City of Ottawa, acting as a bridge between the youth of the City and Ottawa City Council. The Ottawa Youth Cabinet shall actively work to enrich and enhance the health of every community of the City of Ottawa, making partnerships in the community and working with community partners, while engaging youth in all dimensions of the City, to make Ottawa a better place for youth.

Le Cabinet des jeunes d'Ottawa a pour mandat de représenter l'ensemble des jeunes de la ville d'Ottawa et d'assurer les échanges entre ces derniers et le Conseil municipal d'Ottawa. Le Cabinet des jeunes d'Ottawa œuvre activement à enrichir la vie et à améliorer le bien-être de chaque communauté d'Ottawa. Pour ce faire, il établit des partenariats au sein de la collectivité et travaille avec des partenaires communautaires, tout en faisant participer les jeunes aux différents aspects de la vie municipale, afin de faire d'Ottawa une ville où il fait bon vivre pour eux.
