[...] La mouture blutée, ou extraction, tombe sur un fond collecteur d'où elle est dirigée à l'extérieur de la machine ou sur un tamis plus fin situé plus bas dans le plansichter pour y subir un nouveau tamisage. Le refus du tamis, la partie de la mouture qui ne le traverse pas, sort en bout de celui-ci par un conduit interne ou peut être acheminé vers un atre tamis du même compartiment où il est bluté de nouveau. Un treillis métallique à mailles de 9,5 mm fixé à la partie inférieure du châssis des tamis contient un certain nombre de balles ou tampons en caoutchouc dur. Pendant la rotation du plansichter, ces tampons remuent et donnent constamment des petits coups sur la face inférieure des tamis pour en dégager toutes les ouvertures.
