Teneur moyenne ou teneur locale en ozone d'une atmosphère planétaire.

L'ozonité s'exprime soit en parties par million volumique (abrév. ppmv), soit en nombre de molécules par unité de volume (nombre de molécules par mètres cube). Par tradition, le nombre de molécules par centimètre cube est encore utilisé par les spécialistes.

OBS

La télédétection spatiale, en utilisant les méthodes de l'occultation solaire ou stellaire, permet d'évaluer des profils d'ozonité de l'atmosphère moyenne de la Terre (entre 10 et 100 kilomètres environ d'altitude).
