New York, 9 May 2002. The Forum is designed to bring a parliamentary dimension to the UN Special Session. In particular, it aims at developing political and legislative strategies required to implement both old and new commitments. It will also provide parliamentarians from different countries with an opportunity to exchange views and experiences in advancing the global agenda for children.

New York, 9 mai 2002. Le Forum a pour but d'apporter une dimension parlementaire à la session extraordinaire de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies. Plus particulièrement, il vise à mettre au point les stratégies politiques et législatives nécessaires à la mise en œuvre des engagements, nouveaux et anciens, concernant les enfants. Il donnera aussi à des parlementaires de différents pays l'occasion d'échanger des vues et de comparer leurs expériences sur la manière de renforcer la protection des enfants.
