In this study, breath analysis was used to evaluate worker exposure to volatile chemicals at hazardous waste sites. Pre- and post-shift alveolar breath samples were collected in Tedlar gas sampling bags, using the Apnea Technique. Full-shift, breathing-zone samples were collected on charcoal tubes with low-flow pumps and a passive dosimeter.
