A diplomatic official who is personally not acceptable to the government of the foreign country to which he is accredited.

CONT

The receiving State may at any time and without having to explain its decision, notify the sending State that the head of the mission or any member of the diplomatic staff of the mission is persona non grata or that any other member of the staff of the mission is not acceptable. In any such case, the sending State shall, as appropriate, either recall the person concerned or terminate his functions with the mission. A person may be declared non grata or not acceptable before arriving in the territory of the receiving State.

L'État accréditaire peut, à tout moment et sans avoir à motiver sa décision, informer l'État accréditant que le chef ou tout autre membre du personnel diplomatique de la mission est persona non grata ou que tout autre membre du personnel de la mission n'est pas acceptable. L'État accréditant rappellera alors la personne en cause ou mettra fin à ses fonctions auprès de la mission, selon le cas. Une personne peut être déclarée non grata ou non acceptable avant d'arriver sur le territoire de l'État accréditaire.
