A safety system designed by the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) to prevent the interchange of dissimilar gases in medical equipment in order to avoid errors, such as connecting an oxygen regulator to a nitrous oxide medical gas cylinder.

OBS

There are two types of valve outlet safety systems: the American Standard Safety System (ASSS) and the Pin Index Safety System (PISS).
