The Government of Canada is establishing a Police Officers Recruitment Fund for provinces and territories to participate in a national effort to recruit 2,500 police officers across the country, consistent with the high priority that the Government of Canada places on community safety. The purpose of the Fund is to support the efforts of provinces and territories in recruiting additional front-line police officers nationwide who can target local crimes and make communities safer.

Le gouvernement du Canada met actuellement en place un fond appelé Fonds de recrutement de policiers afin que les provinces et les territoires puissent participer à un effort national visant à recruter 2 500 policiers dans l'ensemble du pays, conformément aux priorités établies par le gouvernement du Canada en matière de sécurité des collectivités. Le Fonds vise à appuyer les efforts des provinces et des territoires à recruter des policiers de première ligne supplémentaires à l'échelle nationale pouvant cibler la criminalité à l'échelon local et ainsi accroître la sécurité dans les collectivités.
