Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. The objective of the government's procurement review policy is to enhance the use of procurement in support of industrial and regional development and other national objectives in a manner that is fully consistent with the government's approved procurement objectives, and with Canada's international commitments within the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) or other trade rights and obligations. The government's approved procurement objectives are in descending order of priority: the pre-eminence of operational requirements, competition, fairness and accessibility as major policy cornerstones of the federal procurement process; long-term industrial and regional development; and other national objectives. 1, record 1, English, - Procurement%20Review%20Policy
