The CNSC issues licences that authorize and control the import and export of proliferation-significant nuclear items as well as the export of nuclear-related dual-use items. Licences are issued pursuant to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Import and Export Control Regulations. Aux termes du Règlement sur le contrôle de l'importation et de l'exportation aux fins de la non-prolifération nucléaire la CCSN délivre des permis qui autorisent l'importation et l'exportation des articles à caractère nucléaire importants du point de vue de la prolifération ainsi que l'exportation des articles à double usage dans le secteur nucléaire.
