La propafénone appartient à la classe des médicaments appelés antiarrhythmiques. Elle s'utilise pour soigner certaines anomalies du rythme cardiaque. Elle agit en ralentissant la fréquence des impulsions nerveuses qui stimulent le cœur et en rendant le cœur moins susceptible de réagir à des stimulations anormales.
