Outokumpu Engineering has designed a high-performance, walk-through metal detector, the Metor 114, which features advanced pulsed-field technology. The detector can be adjusted to react to metal objects the size of fire-arms but not the harmless items such as keys and jewellery.

La société Outokumpu Engineering commercialise le portique de contrôle de sécurité Metor 114 qui, utilisant la technologie du «champ pulsé», permet de détecter des objets métalliques quelle que soit leur position et qui est également capable de déceler de petites quantités de métaux de faible conductivité (acier inoxydable, plomb, etc.). Il est possible de le régler pour qu'il ne réagisse pas à la présence d'objets plus petits que les armes à feu, tels que clés ou bijoux.
