Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The Quality Management Program (QMP) is an enhanced inspection program that requires all registered plants to develop and implement an in-plant quality management program. The program provides added assurance that fish products produced in Canada comply with regulatory requirements. The Program relies on the basic concepts of detection and prevention. It enables the fish-processing industry to monitor its own compliance with regulations and to identify and quickly deal with problems in processing operations.
