[Radiotoxicity is] the toxicity attributable to ionizing radiation emitted by an incorporated radionuclide and its daughters; radiotoxicity is related not only to the radioactive characteristics of this radionuclide but also to its chemical and physical state and to metabolism of this element in the body or in the organ.
