Initial treatment of the district facility's effluent consisted of aeration, followed by a high-pH lime treatment, and then by addition of ferric chloride to aid the sedimentation process. Following sedimentation, recarbonation was used to adjust to pH to approximately 7.8. A tri-media filter system followed the chemical treatment step. The filtration system removed turbidity to 0.5 NTU.

Le premier traitement de l'effluent de l'usine du district portait sur l'aération, suivi d'un traitement à la chaux au pH élevé, auquel on a ajouté du chlorure ferrique pour faciliter le processus de décantation. Après la décantation, la recarbonatation servait à ramener le pH à environ 7,8. Après le traitement chimique, l'effluent passait dans un système de filtration tricouche. Le système de filtration enlevait la turbidité de l'eau en la ramenant à 0,5 NTU.
