The major advantage of public-key cryptography is that it removes the need to use the same key for encryption and decryption. Essentially, the transmission is encrypted using the recipient's public key. Le principal avantage de la cryptographie à clé publique réside dans le fait qu'elle supprime l'obligation d'utiliser la même clé pour le cryptage et le décryptage.
