Reproductive coercion occurs any time someone pressures another person about their reproductive decision-making, or takes steps that make it harder for that person to freely exercise their reproductive choice(s).

Sabotage de la contraception, pressions ou menaces pour qu'une femme tombe enceinte alors qu'elle ne le souhaite pas ou, au contraire, pour qu'elle mette fin à une grossesse qu'elle désire poursuivre. Ces comportements, s'ils ne sont pas nouveaux, commencent seulement à être étudiés dans le spectre des violences faites aux femmes. Et ce n'est que tout récemment que des chercheurs ont mis des mots pour les décrire : coercition reproductive.
