Natural gas is processed before entering transmission pipelines to remove water vapour, contaminants and condensable hydrocarbons. There are four different types of natural gas plants: sweet plants, sour plants that flare waste gas, sour plants that extract elemental sulphur, and straddle plants. Straddle plants are located on transmission lines and recover residual hydrocarbons.

Domaine(s)
  • Pollution de l'air
  • Changements climatiques
CONT
