Between Beta and Gamma Lyrae, but not visible to the unaided eye, is Ring Nebula (NGC 6720), one of the most interesting of the planetary nebulae. It is in the form of an ellipse, in the center of which is a very faint star, surrounded by a mass of nebulous matter.
