  • Period Costumes (Museums and Heritage)
  • Women's Clothing
DEF

Close fitting bodice with a decorated stomacher, double pleats at the back falling loosely from neck to hemline.

CONT

A ... sacque, also called robe à la française. This was a loose gown, sometimes sleeveless, distinguished by two wide pleats or folds which fell from the shoulders to the floor without being held in at the waist (the Watteau back).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Costumes anciens (Muséologie et Patrimoine)
  • Vêtements pour dames
DEF
