Procédure de sauvegarde selon laquelle on fait des copies de sécurité de trois versions successives des données en éliminant la version la plus ancienne chaque fois qu'une nouvelle version est sauvegardée.

OBS

La version la plus récente est le «fils» et la plus ancienne le «grand-père». Cette procédure de sauvegarde limite les pertes de données et facilite la restauration de celles-ci en cas de défaillance du système.
