The Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated (SSI) was formed by the seven Sahtu land corporations (four band land corporations and three Métis land corporations) on June 23, 1994. The mandate of the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated is to implement the Agreement and to deal with issues that concern the Sahtu Dene and Metis. In September 1993, the Sahtu Tribal Council (the predecessor to the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated), the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Canada signed the Sahtu Dene and Metis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement. 1, record 1, English, - Sahtu%20Secretariat%20Incorporated

Le Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated (SSI) a été formé par les sept sociétés foncières du Sahtu (quatre sociétés dénées et trois sociétés métisses) le 23 juin 1994. Le SSI a pour mandat d'assurer la mise en œuvre de l'Entente et de régler les dossiers d'intérêt pour les Dénés et les Métis de la région.
