The School Achievement Indicators Program (SAIP) was a cyclical program of pan-Canadian assessments of student achievement in mathematics, reading and writing, and science that was conducted by the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) between 1993 and 2004. The Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP) has since then replaced SAIP, with its first assessment scheduled for the spring of 2007. PCAP will continue to assess performance in the same three core subjects as SAIP but will have room for other subjects to be added as the need arises.

Le Programme d'indicateurs du rendement scolaire (PIRS) était un programme cyclique d'évaluations pancanadiennes de la performance des élèves en mathématiques, en lecture et écriture, et en sciences organisées entre 1993 et 2004 par le Conseil des ministres de l'Éducation (Canada) [CMEC]. Le Programme pancanadien d'évaluation (PPCE) a depuis remplacé le PIRS. La première évaluation du PPCE est prévue pour le printemps 2007. Le PPCE continuera d'évaluer le rendement dans les trois mêmes matières de base que le PIRS, mais pourra également intégrer d'autres matières, au besoin.
