In addition to supporting the work of the Comité ministériel de la prospérité économique et du développement durable and the Comité ministériel à la décentralisation et aux régions, this secretariat is in charge of regulatory simplification. In this capacity, it is responsible for advising the government on the orientations and the actions that should be taken with a view to lightening the regulatory and administrative burden on businesses. The Secretariat oversees the application of the government policy on regulatory activity and analyses the draft regulations of the departments. It is also responsible for ensuring the general planning of work and the coordination of the decentralization project and regionalization. Ce secrétariat, en plus du soutien des travaux du Comité ministériel de la prospérité économique et du développement durable et du Comité ministériel à la décentralisation et aux régions, est chargé du mandat de l'allégement réglementaire. À ce titre, il a pour responsabilité de conseiller le gouvernement sur les orientations et les actions à entreprendre en vue d'alléger le fardeau réglementaire et administratif des entreprises. Il s'assure de l'application de la politique gouvernementale sur l'activité réglementaire et procède à l'analyse des projets de réglementation des ministères. Il a également le mandat d'assurer la planification générale des travaux et la coordination du projet de décentralisation, et de régionalisation.
