Depuis mai 2002, la traditionnelle Semaine de l'arbre et des forêts, soulignée depuis plus de 125 ans, a cédé sa place à un mois complet de sensibilisation. Les Québécoises et les Québécois bénéficient ainsi d'une période beaucoup plus longue pour se rapprocher de cette richesse naturelle. Le Mois de l'arbre et des forêts contribue ainsi à nous faire réaliser l'importance de cette ressource dans toutes les sphères de notre vie quotidienne.
