Dans les calculs des résultats par action d'une société, expression qui regroupe l'ensemble des actions émises par la société autres que celles qui bénéficient du droit de participer sans restriction aux bénéfices de la société. Les actions prioritaires comprennent par exemple les actions privilégiées non participatives et les actions privilégiées qui confèrent le droit de participer au bénéfice avec les actions ordinaires, mais jusqu'à une certaine limite seulement. Les montants distribuables aux porteurs d'actions prioritaires sont retranchés des résultats comptables aux fins du calcul des différents ratios de bénéfice par action.
