Park developed where a railroad once was; it extends from Interprovincial (Royal Alexandra) Bridge to the former Hull Railway Station, now l'école secondaire de l'île. Its form makes it known as "Linear Park"; it is completely located in the part of the City of Hull's territory known as "l'île de Hull".

Sentier de l'Ile Park: Written on the NCC sign at the entrance to the park; there is a circumflex over the "I" of "Ile".

Parc aménagé sur ce qui était autrefois le chemin de fer; il va du sortir du pont Interprovincial (Royal Alexandra) jusque là où était la gare de Hull, maintenant l'école secondaire de l'Île. Parce qu'il est tout en longueur, on l'appelle communément "parc linéaire"; il est entièrement situé sur la partie du territoire de la ville de Hull que l'on désigne par "l'île de Hull".
