Contreplaqué que l'on emploie comme échantillon afin de mesurer les caractéristiques de rupture au cisaillement, soit de la feuille du panneau (plan de rupture perpendiculaire au plan des collages), soit dans l'épaisseur même du panneau (plan de rupture parallèle au plan des collages).

L'éprouvette de cisaillement par traction avec entaille est également utilisée pour le contreplaqué. Dans ce cas, la rupture est dans un plan longitudinal au fil du bois mais dans une direction transversale.
