Grillage et agglomération. - L'opération consiste à faire passer un courant d'air à travers une couche de minerai cru, étalée sur une grille et enflammée. Les appareils D.L. (Dwigt Lloyd) se présentent comme une bande sans fin de chariots mobiles, mis en mouvement par une roue élévatrice, glissant ensuite en se poussant l'un l'autre, selon une vitesse réglable, au-dessus de caissons étanches. Sur chaque appareil, la charge à griller est alimentée par deux trémies; elle se compose d'une première couche de 3 cm d'épaisseur; cette couche, dite couche d'allumage, passe sur le premier caisson, mis en dépression, et, en même temps, sous le foyer allumeur, voûte en réfractaire comportant trois brûleurs. Elle passe ensuite sous la deuxième trémie qui porte la charge proprement dite à une hauteur de 30 à 35 cm, puis sur les caissons suivants, mis en pression; le grillage agglomérant s'effectue alors de bas en haut, par passage de l'air à travers la charge. 2, record 2, French, - grillage%20agglom%C3%A9rant
