Small particles of fibres or coating or both which are chipped off during the slitting operations often identified by straight edges and slender shape.

OBS

The dust may adhere to the edge of the sheet and later work its way into subsequent converting operations. This dust is quite similar to but sometimes distinct from cutter dust which originates at the sheeter and trimmer dust.
