Scientists engineer "spider" goat... Scientists at a Montreal firm have engineered a goat that has a spider's gene to make it produce super-strong spider silk in its milk. Nexia Biotechnologies Inc says production of the silk itself is set to start before the end of this year. When a "spider goat" lactates, the silk protein is extracted from its milk and turned into filament to be spun into fibre. The light but extremely strong material has applications in the medical, aerodynamic and engineering industries. 1, record 1, English, - spider%20silk

Silk comes from silkworms in reality, but in the fantasy setting of Telzoa there is one other source, giant spiders. Spider silk is highly prized and expensive, and it possible to weave garments ... Spider silk is almost completely waterproof, but as a result it is the most difficult fiber to dye ... Silk as we know it, that which comes from silkworms, is also available in Telzoa, although it's qualities are not as exceptional and impressive as spider silk. 2, record 2, English, - spider%20silk
