The Spousal Assault Risk Assessment Guide (SARA) is a quality-control checklist that determines the extent to which a professional has assessed those risk factors deemed to be of crucial predictive importance according to the clinical and empirical literature. The SARA is a 20-item, paper-and-pencil checklist designed to screen for risk factors in individuals suspected of or being treated for spousal or family-related assault.
