Mortar thrown on as gunite, and built up in layers 25 mm thick by successive passes of the cement gun. Particularly suitable for prestressed concrete.

Mortier projeté. Le mortier appelé gunite tire son nom de son mode spécial de mise en œuvre. Le serrage est obtenu par projection de mortier, sous pression, à travers une buse, sur la surface à revêtir qui peut être constituée par un béton. On parvient à l'épaisseur totale recherchée du revêtement de gunite à l'aide d'une série de passages successifs. Cette technique est employée pour la réparation de structures en béton, pour le revêtement de réservoirs, de parois de canaux en terre, et aussi de structures en acier pour les protéger du feu.
