STEND the System for Technology Exchange for Natural Disasters is being developed by the World Meterological Organization (WMO) as a contribution to the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). STEND will provide the technology needed for risk assessment, forecasting and warning systems and countermeasures.
